Bas relief Multi-media Explorations Throughout our 8 week session we will explore painting, stamping, and collage in a variety of combinations to create exciting unique designs like decoupage and assemblage. Decoupage is an arrangement of beautiful papers and lace that are varnished for longevity. Assemblage is the combining of 2 and 3 dimensional objects like photographs, written words, fabrics and real objects( like keys or costume jewelry )into artistic collections. Assemblages can be fanciful or reflect personal experiences. Each week we will try a new idea that will inspire your confidence and love of art making. As always we will learn about artists who do this kind of work and its place in art history.
